FARGO, N.D. — North Dakota State football has added a new recruit via the transfer portal.
Anthony Chideme-Alfaro announced his commitment to the Bison on Sunday morning. Chideme-Alfaro is a grad transfer defensive back from Cornell and will have two years of eligibility remaining.
He played in 8 games at Cornell last season and finished with one interception, three pass breakups, 18 tackles, and two tackles for loss. The Sacaremento, Calif. native had 20 tackles and 9 pass breakups in 2022 along with one interception.
Chideme-Alfaro is listed at 6-foot-2, 199 pounds. The veteran DB adds depth and experience to a Bison secondary that graduated Jayden Price — the program’s all-time leader in games played (71).
Jaquise Alexander and Marcus Sheppard return after both splitting time at the corner spot opposite Price last season, with Alexander starting the season’s final seven games.
