First Game vs. Portland: The Bison and Pilots have never played each other in men’s basketball.
30-Plus: Grant Nelson scored a career-high 31 points against Northern Colorado at the Lobo Classic on Nov. 25. It was the most points by a Bison since Rocky Kreuser scored 34 in the championship game of the Summit League Tournament on March 9, 2021.
White Hot: Sophomore guard Jacari White sparked NDSU with a season-high 19 points off the bench vs. Jacksonville State on Nov. 27. He finished 7-of-9 from the floor and made 5-of-7 from three-point range, scoring all his points in a span of 12 minutes in the second half.
Wide Variety: In eight games this season, the Bison have had six different leading scorers. Only Grant Nelson and Andrew Morgan have led the team in scoring twice this year.
Youth Quantified: NDSU has no seniors on the roster this season, and 7 of the top 10 players in terms of minutes played this year are freshmen or sophomores.
First Double-Double for Morgan: Sophomore Andrew Morgan registered his first collegiate double-double with 23 points and a career-high 14 rebounds in NDSU’s win over Crown College on Nov. 20.
Hastreiter Gets Hot: NDSU freshman Sam Hastreiter set an NDSU single-game record for three-pointers made without a miss, going a perfect 7-for-7 from beyond the arc vs. Pacific on Nov. 13. Hastreiter finished with 24 points and six rebounds. The Lincoln, Neb., native has made 12-of-24 (50 percent) from three-point range this season.
