FARGO, N.D. – The North Dakota State men’s basketball program added Lance Waddles of Shreveport, La., to its 2022 recruiting class, head coach David Richman announced Wednesday.
Waddles, a 6-foot-4 guard from Evangel Christian Academy, averaged 20 points, five rebounds, four assists, and one steal per game as a high school senior in the 2021-22 season. He is originally from Bismarck, N.D.
“Lance’s character and tremendous skill-set, combined with his upside and his ties to the area, make him an ideal fit to continue to move our program forward,” said Richman. “His size and versatility allow him to play multiple positions in the backcourt.”
Waddles joins Noah Feddersen, a forward from Menomonie, Wis., Sam Hastreiter, a forward from Lincoln, Neb., Tajavis Miller, a guard from Lubbock, Texas, and Damari Wheeler-Thomas, a guard from Elgin, Ill., in the 2022 signing class for the Bison.
NDSU went 23-10 overall and finished second in The Summit League last season, advancing to its fourth straight Summit League Tournament championship game.
