MINNEAPOLIS – North Dakota State University will host Eastern Washington University for the 2023 season opener on Saturday, September 2, 2023. This highly anticipated matchup will be the first collegiate football game to be played at U.S. Bank Stadium, home of the Minnesota Vikings, Super Bowl LII (2018) and the NCAA Men’s Final Four (2019). Tickets will go on sale to the public on Friday, March 31.
“We are excited to bring Bison football back to the Twin Cities and a premier facility that our alumni and fans will enjoy,” said NDSU director of athletics Matt Larsen. “Since announcing this game almost two years ago, there has been tremendous excitement about this opportunity and we look forward to showcasing our program in front of Bison Nation.”
NDSU has nearly 15,000 alumni in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area and 26,000 across the state of Minnesota. The Bison drew 34,544 fans to the 2019 season opener against Butler at Target Field, home of the Minnesota Twins.
