FARGO, N.D. – Four members of the North Dakota State women’s track & field team earned spots among the top three performers in school history for their respective events, headlining Saturday’s action at the Bison Team Cup.
NDSU sprinter Kendra Kelley clocked a career-best 7.57 to win the 60m dash, ranking second-fastest in school history. Ilise Jennings ran 7.58 for second place behind Kelley, tying her for third-fastest all-time at NDSU.
Grace Emineth won both the long jump and triple jump, posting an indoor PR of 20-00.25 (6.10m) in the long jump to move into a tie for third-best in NDSU indoor history. Her mark also stands among the Top 15 in the NCAA this season.
In just her second collegiate meet, NDSU freshman Sydney Arndt won the 60m hurdles in 8.47 to rank third-fastest in school history.
Emineth went 38-09.00 (11.81m) for first place in the triple jump, and she was followed by Jodi Lipp in second, Grace VanErp in third, and Jennifer Parent in fourth in a dominant Bison showing.
Nell Graham won the 600m in 1:33.41, ranking 10th-fastest in NDSU history. Angel Pratt claimed the 200m title in 25.31.
Bison freshman Kate LeBlanc won the 800m in 2:19.58, and Erin Valgardson was second in 2:19.69. Grace Link won the mile, clocking 5:03.05. Freshman Aleah Miller was third in 5:04.49.
Merrideth Spiers won the weight throw with a mark of 58-05.25 (17.81m).
Freshman Julia Gherardi and Jacee Johannsen both cleared 11-01.75 (3.40m) in the pole vault, with Gherardi winning the event and Johannsen taking second.
Bison freshman Adison Kapitzke was the runner-up in the shot put, throwing 46-06.25 (14.18m).
The Bison will compete next on Saturday, Jan. 21, at the SDSU Jim Emmerich Invitational in Brookings, S.D.
