FARGO, N.D. – Montana shot 67 percent in the second half to pull away from the North Dakota State men’s basketball team, with the Grizzlies winning 82-75 on Saturday night inside the Scheels Center.
Montana shot 57 percent for the game and made 18-of-27 shots in the second half. The Bison led by nine points late in the first half and held a 37-33 advantage at halftime. Montana outscored NDSU 49-38 in the second half.
Montana improved to 5-5 on the season, while NDSU fell to 2-9 overall.
The game was tied at 55-55 with eight minutes remaining before Montana pieced together a 10-1 run.
Josh Bannan scored 27 points for the Griz to lead all scorers. Junior Boden Skunberg finished with a career-high 22 points and seven rebounds for NDSU. Grant Nelson added 19 points for the Bison, and Jacari White had 15.
NDSU shot 41 percent for the game and made 7-of-21 (33 percent) from beyond the arc.
NDSU will host Waldorf at 5 p.m. Sunday.
