FARGO, N.D. – The North Dakota State men’s basketball program has added junior college transfer Jacari White, NDSU head coach David Richman announced this week.
White comes to NDSU from State College of Florida, where he played one season in 2021-22. He has three seasons of eligibility remaining.
“Jacari is a talented and versatile guard who can really shoot the basketball, and he has great defensive instincts,” said Richman. “Most importantly, he’s a high character young man that will be a great addition and fit for our Bison Family.”
White is a 6-foot-3 guard who averaged 13.5 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game as a freshman at SCF, earning first-team all-conference honors. He drained 71 three-pointers on 39-percent shooting from beyond the arc, and also shot 92 percent at the free throw line.
White posted five games with 23-plus points last season, shooting 50 percent or better in four of those games.
White is originally from Orlando, Fla., where he graduated from Olympia High School in 2021. He played AAU for the Q6 All-Stars Elite under Willie Anderson – the same AAU team and coach as former NDSU Mid-Major All-American Tyson Ward.
