SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – North Dakota State’s Trevor Otterdahl and Kelby Anderson were named Summit League Athletes of the Week following their performances at meets in California on Apr. 14-16.
Otterdahl was the top collegian in the hammer throw at the Pacific Coast Intercollegiate, throwing a career-best mark of 216-3 (65.91m). His personal-best launch moved him up to 29th in the NCAA this season and fifth-best in school history.
Otterdahl also competed in the shot put and the hammer throw at the Mt. SAC Relays. He finished fifth in the shot put with a throw of 60-3 (18.36m) and eighth in the hammer throw (215-0; 65.54m).
Anderson climbed to 29th in the NCAA for the 5,000m following her performance at the Mt. SAC Relays. She clocked a new lifetime-best of 15:58.19 to finish second in her section. Her time makes her just the third Bison woman to ever run sub-16 minutes in the event.
